BGS Manga Grading Service

What is BGS Manga Grading?

Beckett (BGS) Manga grading is the process of judging the condition and authenticity of manga publications, from Dragon Ball Z and One Piece to Demon Slayer and beyond. The grading process examines physical characteristics of each volume to determine the appropriate grade for the condition of your manga. This results in a numerical grade and a page quality assessment that is indicated on the label.

Why should I get my manga graded?

Condition affects the value of any collectible, manga is no different. BGS provides a 3rd party, unbiased declaration of a product’s condition. Not many organisations provides this service to the manga collecting community, and BGS has been known to the public for its TCG grading and have now extended its solutions to cater the manga community.

Whats BGS’s grading scale?

The BGS Manga grading scale differs from the traditonal hallf-point scale used for cards since there is more to be evaluated for a book vs exterior only items. Click here to find out more on BGS’s Standard Grading Scale for Manga.
